NYPD Confiscates Thousands Of Fake Electronics At Chelsea Home

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police raided a home in Chelsea Thursday afternoon where they said they found a treasure-trove of counterfeit Apple products and other electronics with a street value of nearly $1 million.

Investigators said they had been watching the West 28^th Street home for weeks.

Police said they executed a search warrant after watching Iaron Baskerville come out of the home with a fake iPhone which he then tried to sell to someone on the corner of Ninth Avenue and West 39^th Street.

Baskerville was arrested on Jan. 31 and charged with possession of a forged instrument and fraudulent accosting.

During a raid Thursday, police confiscated 4,200 pairs of fake Beats by Dr. Dre headphones, 500 counterfeit iPhones and iPods, and 19 fake iPads.

Two other suspects, 36-year-old Mo Ling and 25-year-old Cindy Lie, have been arrested and charged with trademark counterfeiting.
