NYPD: At Least 2 Gunmen In Fatal Brighton Beach Boardwalk Shooting
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A 19-year-old suspected of shooting into a packed New York City boardwalk in the summer heat was being held without bail on murder charges.
Iloune Driver also was arraigned in Brooklyn on a weapon possession charge.
New York Police Department Commissioner Raymond Kelly said investigators were looking for at least one more suspected gunman but there could be more shooters at large.
Sixteen-year-old Tysha Jones was killed in the melee, sparked by a beach brawl Thursday. She was hit in the torso and died later at a hospital. Four others were wounded, including a seaside cafe patron struck by a stray bullet.
Police were investigating whether the shooting was gang related. They don't believe Jones was the target.
A message left with Driver's attorney hasn't been returned.
