Mojave, Astoria's popular neighborhood Mexican restaurant and tequila bar, will be welcoming guests with a variety of Cinco de Mayo specials. Snag a seat in their back patio to enjoy the spring weather with great holiday deals, like El Jimador Silver Tequila shots for $4, the Mojave Margarita made with Herradura Premium Tequila at $9 and a flight of four 1921 Tequilas (blanco, reposado, anejo, crema de tequila) for $25. Menu specials will also be offered, including a complimentary shot of 1921 tequila with a main course order. Celebrate with a live mariachi band from 7pm-11pm.

This recently opened West Village restaurant is known for their creative sliders and boozy milkshakes. On Cinco de Mayo, visit Slide for two themed cocktails. The Tequila Cobbler featres Herradura Reposado Tequila, Laird's Applejack, lime, simple syrup and peach bitters, and is then topped with ginger ale. For your sweet tooth, try the "Hot Chocolate" Ice Cream Shake, blending chocolate ice cream, chili powder, hot sauce and Sombra Mezcal. Pair either of these specialty drinks with their variety of sliders or the Cinco de Mayo Sliders special made with Chorizo-Beef patty, fresh cilantro, chipotle aioli, sweet pepper bacon, plum tomato, arugula and pepper jack cheese.
Tres Carnes is a fast-casual eatery serving Texas style low-and-slow barbecued meats prepared and served with a Mexican flare. For Cinco de Mayo, stop by this tiny shop for one of their "Beer 'Tails." Try the Cock's Tail, Michelada with Dos Equis on the rocks with The Cock's Tail Mariachi and fresh squeezed lime or Picante Clasico, Sol Beer on the rocks with salt, lime and Valentina hot sauce for a bit of a bite. Don't miss out on La Newyorkina's Double-Smoked Churro Doughnut for dessert, exclusive to the Tres Carnes menu.
Italian comfort food restaurant Galli in Soho is joining in on the May 5 festivities with a Lili's Curves Margarita for only $5 with Esplon Silver, fresh lime, black pepper infused simple syrup, pureed strawberries and a couple dashes of orange bitters to top it all off. Sip on this specialty drink with their sharable starters, like Baby Rice Balls and Meatball Sliders.
Escape the hustle and bustle of Midtown with a strong cocktail inside the Renaissance Times Square Hotel on Cinco de Mayo. Kick back with a Simply Jalapeno, infused Jalapeno Tanteo Tequila, cucumbers, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup or a Very Berry Mojito with muddled blueberries and raspberries, Bacardi Limon, mint, lime wedges and St. Germain.
Lantern's Keep, the cocktail salon in The Iroquois Hotel, will be serving a Mexican Firing Squad made with tequila, lime, grenadine, angostura bitters and club soda on Cinco de Mayo. This dimly lit "secret" gem makes for an intimate date night or for a round of retro cocktails with friends.
It's always a fiesta at Burrito Bar Brooklyn with their Mexican menu featuring rotating dinner specials and drinks of the day. Stop by on Cinco De Mayo for an Elevated Margarita starring Avión Silver or Reposado with fresh lime juice and agave nectar shaken and strained over ice and garnished with a lime wheel for a classic way to celebrate with your amigos. Throughout the weekend, you can stop by for a list of $9 premium margaritas, gift card raffles, free giveaways of maracas, tambourines and sombreros to the sounds of a nightly DJ.
