A restaurant completely devoted to meatballs…what's not to like? The cities tastiest balls come in five varieties served in your choice of six sauces. Order the Spicy Pork Meatball Hero and try not to rave about it to all your friends. No reservations accepted, so there can be a wait on popular nights, but it's worth it. The Meatball Shop has five locations: Lower East Side, West Village, Chelsea, Upper West Side, and Williamsburg.

Woodwork is the place in Brooklyn, if not the whole of NYC, to watch soccer - but you can also catch any other big game here. This footie bar also has a great selection of food (the mac and cheese is delicious) and you're almost certain to be shooting picklebacks by the end of the night. Make sure to stop in during the next Team USA World Cup mayc and chant with the entire bar.

This Astoria games emporium has everything you could want in a sports bar. Watch the game on one of the 10 true HD TVs, get in a round of Big Buck Hunter during half time, or shoot some pool on one of their 16 tables. Free pool and ping-pong while you eat or drink, and the drinks are reasonably priced.

Sports are king at this tiny East Village spot. Every inch of wall space is covered in memorabilia; games commentary always win out over music; and a constantly rotating selection of microbrews on tap keeps things tasty. Everyone is into the game, so it's a blast if you're looking to hang with other serious fans.

Uptown sports lovers, Blondies is your spot. Blondies has three rooms with TVs everywhere so you can turn your head in any direction and still see the game. At least one screen will be dedicated to any sport showing on TV—including boxing, WNBA, NHL– you name it. The Buffalo wings are considered some of the best in the city, and the cheap pitchers of beer are perfect sidekicks to every game.
