Open until 5 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights (and until 2 a.m. the rest of the week), Pop Burger is a chic alternative to the dim nature of fast-food joints. In the front space, you'll find the Meatpacking crowd chowing down on burgers, fries and hot dogs, while the back lounge offers a full bar serving cocktails such as the Downtown Manhattan (Maker's Mark, sweet vermouth and bitters).
Given the bustling bar scene in the Lower East Side, late-night dining options abound, but Schiller's has remained a crowd favorite since 2003. Keith McNally's Austrian-French bistro is packed nightly with a fashionable crowd downing cocktails such as the Wildflower (Hendrick's Gin, hibiscus, cucumber and lemon juice) alongside pub grub such as steak frites, garlic shrimp and mussels until 2 a.m.
The kitchen at this Southeast Asian-themed bar and restaurant is open until 3:30 a.m., and late night selections include chicken and pork belly dumplings, a brisket and short rib burger and Maine lobster with crab buns. If you're still thirsty, pair your meal with world-class cocktails such as the Malena (Wild Turkey Rye, Campari, Six Grapes Ruby Port and orange blossom water) or the Drunken Dragon's Milk (Charbay Green Tea Vodka, young coconut puree, Thai basil and Macao's five-spice bitters).
The late night menu at Gabe Stulman's Fedora, served from 11:30 p.m. to 2 a.m., keeps the West Village crowd satiated with a small selection of plates such as crispy pig's head, a pressed pork sandwich and Black Angus rib steak served with kimchi. Oysters and other raw bar items are usually available as well, and can be paired with cocktails such as The Other Side of the Pillow (Greylock Gin, apricot liqueur, sparkling wine, lemon juice and house apple bitters).
Served on Friday and Saturday nights from midnight to 2 a.m., Momofuku Noodle Bar's late night selection includes greatest hits such as pork buns, smoked chicken wings and Momofuku ramen featuring pork belly, pork shoulder and poached egg. Beverage choices include wine, beer, sake or soju "slushies" in flavors such as lychee and passionfruit.
