NYC Woman Tells Police She Was Sexually Assaulted By Man Returning Lost Wallet
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) --Police are investigating a report of a sexual assault in Manhattan early Monday morning.
A woman told police she was was sexually assaulted by a man who appeared to be a good Samaritan returning her wallet which she had left at a fast-food restaurant, 1010 WINS' Al Jones reported.
The woman, who is in her 20s, said the man knocked on her door around 2:30 a.m. and told her he had her wallet, police said.

The alleged victim told police the man then pushed his way into her apartment on Lexington Avenue near East 26th Street and sexually attacked her, Jones reported.
The woman was treated and released from Bellevue Hospital.
Residents in the neighborhood were shocked by the incident.
"That's scary," one woman said.
"That's horrible," another woman said.
"My heart goes out to that person and I hope she gets over this ordeal," one man said.
Police said the identification inside the wallet led the suspect to his alleged victim, Jones reported.
