Rain showers in NYC all weekend, but not a total washout. Here's the First Alert Forecast.

After nearly a month without much rain, wet weather has returned to the region, and some locations have picked up decent totals so far.

Saturday night forecast

This moisture-laden pattern looks to stick around for the next several days. For tonight, waves of showers and drizzle will continue. Low temperatures will remain nearly stationary in the low 60s, with some 50s north and west.

Sunday forecast

Subsequent rounds of drizzle and showers should persist through Sunday. Highs will only get into the mid to upper 60s. While beneficial, the forecasted additional rainfall totals through Sunday night of a quarter of an inch or less won't be enough to erase the monthly deficit, nor keep us out of the top 10 list for driest Septembers ever recorded.

Looking ahead

Monday is trending drier with mostly cloudy skies. Shower chances look to hold off until later in the day.

Our next mostly sunny day likely won't be until Thursday, but we can really use the rain after a very dry September.
