NEW YORK -- The New York City area will see one more day of windy, cold weather before temperatures return to normal.

The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for much of the area until 10 p.m. Thursday.

We're back at it today with bone-chilling temperatures and strong, gusty winds.

We were greeted again by wind chills in the single digits this morning. And while our temperatures recover some, we'll only make it to the freezing mark. Not to mention, the winds will be gusting from 35-50 mph, so it will never feel better than the teens.

And speaking of those winds, don't be surprised if you see some downed tree branches here and there.

Frigid temperatures are back in place tonight, as we fall into the 20s and teens. But it will remain blustery out there, so it will only feel like the teens and single digits.

When will the wind wrap up?

Thankfully, we'll get a little relief on Friday, as the winds let up and temperatures get back to normal.

As for Saturday, the First Alert Weather Day has been canceled, although we're still expecting a round of light snow.
