NYC Transit Begins Select Bus Service To LaGuardia Airport
HARLEM, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- An upgraded New York City bus route hopes to provide a faster way to get to LaGuardia Airport.
The M60 bus route will now be called the M60 Select Bus Service, or SBS line, with its own special red fast lane that nobody else is allowed to use, CBS 2 reported.

The M60 SBS corridor extends from 106th Street and Broadway in Manhattan, across 125th Street and Astoria Boulevard to LaGuardia Airport.
Riders getting onto the M60 bus on 125th Street told WCBS 880's Marla Diamond they were more than happy to pay their fare at a new sidewalk kiosk.
"This is a great idea. A great concept," said Stanley Wilson.
Wilson, of Harlem, expected to shave a lot of time off his ride to LaGuardia.
"A half hour. A half hour, easy," he said.
The M60 SBS is the city's seventh select bus route, Diamond reported.
On a typical weekday, the M60 carries more than 17,000 riders, CBS 2 reported.
President of MTA New York City Transit Carmen Bianco said the new bus route serves the M60, but is expected to speed the commute for bus riders "Whether it be on the M60, the M100, the M101 or the BX15."
Some business owners were a bit skeptical about the reduced commute time. Some said they believe double parkers will ultimately slow the buses down.
