How would you define your personal style?
I like to think of my style as an "elevated casual." I wear jeans and button up shirts, but try to shake it up with suspenders, mixed patterns, and unpredictable loosened ties. Not to buttoned up, but not looking like I rolled out of bed. A mix of quirky and dapper with a splash of charm.
Favorite item in you closet?
My "Tickle This!" Elmo T-Shirt.
Are there any trends that you wish would just go away already?
UGGS. Didn't their time pass in 1999?
Favorite Five in the Five Boroughs?
Beacon's Closet (Williamsburg) - A must on anyone's list. Plan a couple hours as you can easily get lost.
Monk's Thrift (South Park Slope) - I love the kitsch and I can always find a funky tie.
Ben Sherman - It's made for skinny boys who love plaids, converse, and suspenders.
Buckler - I head here when I want to feel a little more downtown and a touch more industrial. The staff here is always great.
Steve Alan - My favorite men's boutique in NYC. I head here for nice comfy-casual.
