NYC Man Accused Of Posting Facebook Threats After Zimmerman Trial

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A man has been charged with making a terroristic threat, after police allegedly found threatening messages on his Facebook account linked to the trial of George Zimmerman.

Remel Newsom was being held on bail Monday.

One Facebook post read "let's kill cops and neighborhood watcher," while another said he would "catch a body."

His attorney, Tasha Lloyd-Garcia, said Monday that Newsom told police he had pasted one post from another location. She said a second post may have been song lyrics.

Zimmerman was acquitted a week ago Saturday of the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, 17, in Sanford, Fla.

Zimmerman said he acted in self-defense.
