7/28 CBS2 Thursday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Justin Lewis

Expect another hot one this afternoon with even more humid conditions. We could even see an isolated shower/t-storm to our south and west before the afternoon is out. Highs today will be right around 90° again.

More showers and storms will fill in tonight, especially during the overnight hours. And as we close in on dawn, it looks as though some heavy pockets of rain will push into the area which could lead to some flooding. These pockets will continue to push through during the Friday morning commute before we transition to lighter showers/rain the remainder of the morning and through midday. And if you're tired of the heat, tomorrow will offer some relief as we'll struggle to hit 80°. The downside is it will still be on the humid side.

We'll find ourselves somewhat between systems on Saturday. And there could be some shower/storm activity, but it's looking more isolated to scattered, inland, and late around the city. Highs that day will be a little warmer in the mid 80's.

The showers and storms will have a stronger presence on Sunday through the day. And will be a little humid out there with highs in the low 80's.
