NJ Transit Police Searching For Suspects In Robberies At North Elizabeth Station
ELIZABETH, N.J. (CBSNewYork) – New Jersey Transit police are searching for suspects who robbed commuters at gunpoint at the North Elizabeth station Christmas Eve morning.
As CBS2's Christine Sloan reported, police say the suspects, who are still on the loose, were caught on video approaching commuters at gunpoint, robbing them of their cell phones, wallets and other personal belongings.

"It worries me. I catch the train every morning," commuter Carmen Diaz said.
Diaz was at the station the morning when the bandits were on their crime spree. She says nothing out of the ordinary happened to her, but now she is being extra vigilant.
"I always keep everything close by. (Look over your shoulder?) All the time," she said.
Investigators say several of the commuters who were robbed at the station failed to report the incidents and are being asked to reach out to NJ Transit Police.
Police are also asking the public for help in identifying and locating the suspects.
Residents are also paying close attention, though they say the area is generally safe.
"This is a nice area. I grew up around here. There's not a lot of people who hang out like, on the streets or nothing," Elizabeth resident Richard Vloz said.
"I really don't walk here at night or things, broad daylight on main streets doesn't worry me too much," Moshe Rapp said.
Police say everyone should be on guard, even during the day, and immediately contact them if they can identify any of the suspects.
Police say the suspects were driving a late model, tan-colored Jeep Cherokee with a temporary license plate.
