NJ Transit: Hoboken-Bound Train Kills Man On Tracks
ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- NJ Transit says one of its trains struck and killed a man on the tracks in Elmwood Park Friday.
Train 1154, with 700 passengers aboard, was headed from Suffern, N.Y., to Hoboken.
NJ Transit spokeswoman Courtney Carroll says the passengers were transferred to two trains to continue their trip.
The incident caused delays of up to 60 minutes on the Bergen Line.
The person's name has not been released.
