NJ Transit Bus Driver Stabbed In Attempted Newark Busjacking
NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) – A N.J. Transit bus driver was stabbed in what is believed to be an attempted busjacking on Saturday night in Newark, a spokeswoman for the transit agency said.
Police arrested 26-year-old Maurice Young for the alleged stabbing that took place on Hawthorne Avenue.

Resident China Corrasson said she saw the incident from her window.
"When I looked out, you could see the bus coming down the block and it was swerving like this," she said. "Somebody else had to have been driving the bus because when the bus driver got out of the bus, he went and walked into the liquor store all bloodied up."
She added that his "head was stabbed in; chest was stabbed in, everything."
At least nine passengers ran from the No. 27 bus once it came to a stop, she said, before police pulled the suspect off the bus and into custody.
"They put him in the cop car. He was young," she said.
Emergency officials transported the victim to a local hospital where his condition is unknown. The investigation is ongoing.
