Two Injured After NJ Transit Bus Crashes Into Business
BARNEGAT, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) --Authorities are investigating how a commuter bus that crashed into a business undergoing renovations in southern New Jersey.
NJ Transit spokesman Dan Stessel said the bus was carrying eight passengers from Atlantic City to Lakewood when the accident happened along Route 9 near Bay Avenue in Barnegat Tuesday.
At least two passengers were injured, but those injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, said NJ Transit spokeswoman Courtney Carroll.
Carroll says the bus hit the porch of the two-story structure and did not go through the glass company on the ground floor.
The cause of the accident was under investigation.
