$1 Million Bail Set For Jordan Turner, Who Allegedly Shot Heather Reyes Dead
HACKENSACK, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Bail was set at $1 million for a northern New Jersey man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend.
Jordan Turner was charged with murder and unlawful possession of an assault firearm.
Bergen County prosecutors said the 24-year-old called police from a movie theater early Saturday to say that he had killed the woman and wanted to turn himself in.
Dumont police found 22-year-old Heather Reyes on the floor of Turner's apartment. The prosecutor's office said there was a large pool of blood around her chest and abdomen.
An AR-15-style rifle was found near Reyes.
It wasn't known if Turner has hired a lawyer. He was scheduled to be arraigned Monday afternoon.
