NJ Gasoline Prices Take Another Jump
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) -- Motorists are seeing slightly higher prices at the pumps in New Jersey.
AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of regular gasoline in the Garden State on Friday was $2.88, up a penny from a week ago.
That's also higher than a year ago, when New Jersey motorists were paying $2.52.
Meanwhile, the national average price rose to $2.90, up 4 cents from last week. That's also higher than the national average from a year ago, which was $2.63.
AAA Mid-Atlantic says the rising pump prices are due to rising crude oil prices, which hit 2010 highs of $89.19 a barrel on Friday.
