NJ Airports To Receive $13M In Federal Grants
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) -- New Jersey airports are getting more than $13 million in federal funds for safety and environmental improvements.
U.S. Sens. Frank Lautenberg and Robert Menendez announced the Federal Aviation Administration grant awards on Friday.
Newark Liberty International Airport will receive the biggest chunk of the money. It's getting more than $4 million to rehabilitate and widen taxiways to accommodate larger aircraft.
Trenton Mercer Airport will receive more than $3.1 million and Millville Municipal airport will get nearly $2.6 million for taxiway rehab projects.
More than $2 million will go to Cape May County Airport in Lower Township for taxiway work and to update the airport master plan.
