Giants Lineman Will Hernandez Tests Positive For COVID-19, Team Orders Close Contacts To Stay Home
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- New York Giants offensive lineman Will Hernandez tested positive for COVID-19, CBS2's Otis Livingston reported Thursday.
According to a statement from the Giants, anyone who came in close contact with Hernandez was told to stay home and attend meetings remotely.
Hernandez and all but four of the Giants offensive linemen are self-isolating.
"We are working closely with the NFL's Chief Medical Officer regarding next protocol steps," the team said in a statement.
The team's practice facility remained open Thursday while the rest of the players and staff followed their normal schedules. The team practiced outside.

The Giants (1-6) are last in the NFC East and are scheduled to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-2) at MetLife Stadium on Monday night.
Giants head coach Joe Judge said he did not think the positive test would impact the game.
