NFL Memorabilia, Interactive Displays Part Of Local Museum's Football Exhibit
JERSEY CITY, N.J. (CBSNewYork) - An NFL exhibit with interactive displays has opened at the Liberty Science Center to get football fans excited for the big game.
Super Bowl XLVIII will kick off at MetLife Stadium four months from Wednesday, so the museum is trying to capitalize on the excitement in the host city area.
As WCBS 880's Peter Haskell reported, a good portion of the Gridiron Glory exhibit is from the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

"Jerseys, shoulder pads, footballs," exhibit developer Andrew Prasarn told Haskell. "Over here, we have the Dallas Cowboys from the 90's."
But the exhibit at the science museum features more than memorabilia.
"There's an entire section dedicated to the science of football and also the technology," said Prasarn.
There are casts of NFL players' legs and arms, so visitors can see how they stack up to the pros, plus the Vince Lombardi Trophy and displayed dedicated to the two home teams.
"The more people that we can reach, the more people that we can deliver our message to. That's really what we want to do," Prasarn told Haskell.
Visitors can also kick a field goal, throw a pass and run drills.
The exhibit will be on display until March 2014.
