New Yorkers Should Feel Safe Says Mayor Bloomberg

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Mayor Michael Bloomberg says New Yorkers shouldn't feel any more concerned going around the city today than they did before U.S. agents killed Osama bin Laden.

With concerns about retribution, security has been beefed up around the city since bin Laden's death, but the mayor says it's nothing New Yorkers should worry about.

"We've obviously ramped up our security as we do whenever an event takes place around the world that we think heightens concerns, but it's nothing any individual should worry about."

Bloomberg says there's no specific threat against the Big Apple, but New Yorkers should remain vigilant and if they see something suspicious, to call authorities.
