New Yorkers Fed Up With The Cold Jump On Planes Headed For Warmer Locales
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The cold weather has really gotten to some people. In upstate New York, Ithaca's visitors bureau temporarily told tourists to stay away. The website told tourists to check out the Florida Keys instead.
Ithaca received 71 inches of snow this season and its average temperature is 27.9-degrees.
The Visitors Bureau may have been onto something. CBS2's Meg Baker caught up with people who were headed out of town on Tuesday.
Travelers who say they can't take the cold anymore were calling it quits, and hopping on a plane to go warm their bones.
