Report: Matt Forte To Sign With Jets
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The Jets weren't without a starting running back for long.
A day after Chris Ivory reportedly agreed to join the Jacksonville Jaguars, Gang Green has reached a deal with former Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte, ESPN reported Wednesday.

The terms of his deal with the Jets aren't yet clear.
Forte, 30, who was one of the NFL's most versatile backs during an eight-year run with the Bears, was also reportedly being courted by the Green Bay Packers and Miami Dolphins, among others.
The former second-round pick out of Tulane amassed 8,602 rushing yards, 487 receptions, 4,116 receiving yards and 64 total touchdowns during his time in Chicago.
The Jets still have plenty of work to do. General manager Mike Maccagnan is also trying to re-sign quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and address numerous other positions, including the defensive line.
A lot of what the Jets hope to accomplish may be contingent on trading defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson. Recently assigned the non-exclusive franchise tag, Wilkerson carries a $15.7 million cap hit in 2016.
The Jets are also expected to release some players and restructure a few contracts.
