All Jets Players, Personnel Test Negative Following Earlier Presumptive Positive COVID-19 Test
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) - The Jets say all players, coaches and personnel tested negative for COVID-19 Friday evening after a presumptive positive test came back at the team's facility in New Jersey Friday morning.
The Jets should have been doing final walkthroughs for Sunday's game, but their fields were empty Friday.
One Jets player's presumptive positive COVID test forced the team to move to a virtual walkthrough out of an abundance of caution, CBS2's Steve Overmyer reports.
Players and coaches are tested every day. Sometimes they are false positives, like earlier this season when they reported 10 false positives on the Jets.

The team announced Friday evening that they received negative tests for all players, coaches and personnel, and this weekend's game against the Arizona Cardinals will go on as planned.
The NFL made it through the first three weeks with just 10 total positives out of 300,000 tests, but there were 11 more last week alone.

As the nation continues to try to fend off the coronavirus, teams are learning a lesson in vigilance.
The NFL told teams Friday that if a coach approaches an official without wearing a mask, it will result in a 15-yard penalty.
So far, the league has had to shift the schedule of four games due to COVID, and that's only through the first four weeks of the season.
The Jets' press conference Friday was postponed, but at the Cardinals', Arizona's head coach said the team planned on flying out Friday night as scheduled.
