New Surveillance Images Released In Newark, N.J. IHOP Manager's Killing

NEWARK, NJ(CBSNewYork) -- New surveillance images surfaced on Saturday of three men wanted in connection with the murder of an IHOP manager in Newark in March.

One suspect was wearing a blue hat and is visible in three of the photos, he also has tattoos on both of his hands. Another suspect was wearing a white or gray shirt, and a third was wearing a plaid top.

Papa Khaly Diaye, 30, of Middlesex was killed when he attempted to break up a fight at the restaurant.

At the time of the shooting 1010 WINS reporter Gene Michaels was told that a fight broke out, and the manager tried to escort the people involved outside. That was when the shooting started.

Ndiaye, the manager, and two other victims were rushed across the street to University Hospital.

One man, Jermaine, pulled into the parking lot for the IHOP on Saturday afternoon, only to find it closed. He was not surprised about the incident.

"I'm not surprised that something would happen at 3 o'clock in the morning, because after 3, that's when all the clubs are closing; everybody comes here to eat," he said.

He said some of the people coming in from the clubs can get rowdy and impatient.
