New Jersey Voter Registration Deadline Is Today
TRENTON, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Tuesday is the last day for New Jersey residents to register to vote in the presidential election in November.

Voter registration forms can be downloaded and either mailed with an Oct. 18 postmark or dropped off at city and town halls, service agencies and motor vehicle offices.
After Tuesday, voters will not be able to register to cast a ballot in the Nov. 8 contest that pits Democrat Hillary Clinton against Republican Donald Trump.

There's currently no online voter registration in New Jersey. The practice was popular in New York State this month, with more than 200,000 people registering online -- the most in a single month in state history, CBS2 reported.
Residents will also be casting votes for House seats and deciding ballot questions on casino expansion and requiring gas tax revenues be spent only on transportation.
New Jersey leans Democratic in presidential years and is not considered a battleground state, but Republican Gov. Chris Christie is a top surrogate for Trump.
The deadline for voter registration in New York State was on Oct. 14.
The deadline in Connecticut is Nov. 1.
