New Jersey Lawmakers Take Aim At Concussions
TRENTON, NJ (WCBS 880) - With all the talk lately about hard hits and concussions in the NFL, New Jersey lawmakers passed a bill requiring school physicians, coaches, and trainers to get better training on how to spot signs of player concussions.

"We're making it a priority," bill sponsor State Senator Dick Codey (D-Essex) told WCBS 880 reporter Levon Putney. "What I also plan to do is maybe call on the NJSIA to come up with rules themselves to say 'listen - any kind of flagrant hits, more than one, that's a suspension'."
Codey says they want to send a message like the NFL.
