New Jersey Gasoline Prices falling
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) -- Motorists are seeing lower prices at the pumps in New Jersey.
AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of regular gasoline in the Garden State on Friday was $2.57, down 4 cents from a week ago.
But that's still more than a year ago, when New Jersey motorists were paying $2.54.
Meanwhile, the national average price fell 5 cents to $2.72. The national average a year ago was $2.62.
AAA Mid-Atlantic spokeswoman Tracy Noble says the falling fuel prices are mostly due to recent crude oil price declines and the sluggish economic recovery.
