Dr. Clifton Howell, Drug Dealer Louis Lisi Sentenced In Oxycodone Ring
JERSEY CITY, NJ (WCBS 880) - A New Jersey doctor and a drug dealer are headed to jail after admitting their roles in an illegal prescription drug ring.

Dr. Clifton Howell, 54, was given three years Friday for writing Oxycodone and other prescriptions for an illegal distribution ring - paid for with cash by charging Medicaid.
He was originally arrested back in 2009.
Louis Lisi, 35, will do at least nine years of a 22-year prison sentence before he is eligible for parole.
Lisi apologized in court for selling the drugs in Hudson, Bergen, Monmouth, and Ocean counties.
"When you look at these types of cases and why their priority is, the black market distribution affects anybody who is purchasing and overdosing on drugs. However the Medicaid fraud affects every citizen who are tax paying citizens in New Jersey," said state deputy Attorney General Deborah Conrad.
Conrad said the AG's office is honing in on cases like this.
