New American Citizens Sworn-In At Sagamore Hill On Long Island
COVE NECK, NY (WCBS 880) - Fifty new American immigrants from 35 different nations were officially sworn-in as naturalized U.S. citizens on Monday.
It took place on the piazza of the late President Theodore Roosevelt's Sagamore Hill home.

It was a very proud day for Anna Montez from Nicaragua.
"It's an honor that this day has come. A dream come true today. Yes. Definitely," Montez told WCBS 880 Long Island Bureau Chief Mike Xirinachs.
How would the late president feel on this special day?
"Simply bully! For you see, Americanism is not a question of birthplace, creed, or religion, but rather a question of purpose, spirit, and ideal," says Roosevelt re-enactor James Foote. "Well, he'd be certainly satisfied and happy to see that the great American experiment is still going on."
