'Nervous' Bank Robber On The Run In Paramus
A bank robber is on the loose in Paramus.
Police said the suspect entered the Valley National Bank in the Bergen Town Center shortly after 3 p.m. Monday and demanded a teller to give him hundreds or fifties, or he would shoot and kill everyone.
The teller told the suspect she only had small bills. He then approached a second teller making the same demands, before fleeing after she gave him an undisclosed amount of cash.
A weapon was never displayed and the tellers said the suspect appeared very nervous, police said.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5'7" to 5'10" tall, in his late thirties to early forties, with well-groomed, short dark brown or black hair, possibly with a touch of gray. He was wearing khaki pants, and a white t-shirt under a blue and white plaid shirt.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Paramus Police Department Detective Bureau at 201.262.3400 x 553.
