Report: Neo-Nazis Call Taylor Swift 'A Pure Aryan Goddess'
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Neo-Nazis have a lot of bad blood with many people, but apparently not Taylor Swift.
The pop superstar is reportedly known as an "Aryan goddess" among neo-Nazis.
"Firstly, Taylor Swift is a pure Aryan goddess, like something out of classical Greek poetry. Athena reborn, That's the most important thing," Andre Anglin of the white supremacist blog the Daily Stormer told Broadly.
Anglin believes that Swift is "secretly a Nazi" and is waiting for the right time when presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump "makes it safe for her to come out and announce her Aryan agenda to the world."
"Probably, she will be betrothed to Trump's son, and they will be crowned American royalty," Anglin told Broadly.
Broadly reports the rise of Swift's popularity among neo-Nazis might have started from a teenage girl spoofing memes attributing Adolf Hitler quotes to the "Shake It Off" singer on Pinterest in 2013.
Swift's lawyers sent a warning letter to Pinterest about the memes.
"I didn't continue making the quote images, but I didn't delete my board either," Emily Pattinson, who started the memes, told Broadly.
Pinterest did not take down the memes.
Broadly reports the Daily Stormer has published 24 posts about Swift.
Swift has yet to comment on the report.
