Neighbors: Gym Rats At Brooklyn CrossFit Center Are Too Noisy
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A CrossFit gym in South Park Slope, Brooklyn, has drawn complaints from neighbors who have said those who work out there are just too loud.
As 1010 WINS' Holli Haerr reported Wednesday, one of the CrossFit 718 gym's neighbors near Fifth Avenue and 22nd Street in Brooklyn said there is a lot of yelling and grunting going on when people work out, and that is not all.

"The walls – they feel like they're doing demo; the walls shaking," he said.
The gym has been the target of some neighbors' complaints, but others said they barely notice it. They do see people running in the streets with weights on as part of their workouts, but that is all.
"It's really intense," said a man named Sunshine. "It's kind of like a boot camp workout."
Sunshine works out at the CrossFit, and also works at a bar on the same block. He said he sometimes notices loud grunting.
"I only notice it when I attend," he said. "I don't actually notice it outside of there."
A person inside the gym did not want to comment.
There are 7,000 CrossFit clubs, which push a workout routine involving running, jumping, throwing medicine balls, flipping truck tires and lifting heavy weights, among other activities, the Brooklyn Paper reported.
The South Park Slope outlet opened two years ago, and its landlord owes a $10,000 fine to the city after the building was illegally converted from an industrial use, the newspaper reported.
