NASA Accepting Applications For Next Class Of Astronauts
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- If you're looking for a job then you've got until midnight to submit your application for an opportunity that's out of this world.
NASA is looking for its next class of astronauts.
Former astronaut Rex Waltheim said while anyone with a qualifying degree -- math, engineering or science -- can apply, there are some physical requirements.
"Standing height should be between 62- and 75-inches. Blood pressure not to exceed 140/90. Visual acuity -- distant and visual -- must be correctable to 20/20 each eye," Waltheim said.
Your odds of getting the job may not be great, so far NASA has received more than 5,000 applications.
NASA currently has 57 active astronauts.
