N.J. State Sen.: Repeal Kyleigh's Law
NEW JERSEY (WCBS 880) – A New Jersey state senator is gathering support for the repeal of a teenage driver safety law.
State Sen. Tom Goodwin said that Kyleigh's Law, which was passed this past spring, does more harm than good.

The law requires that drivers under the age of 21 place red decals on their license plates.
"The concern is that the young drivers have a bull's eye right on that license plate that they're subject to potential pedophiles, people that want to harass the driver," Goodwin said.
Goodwin has gotten support from other politicians like Congressman Chris Smith and has also received support from families with young drivers.
"I've had a mother tell me that her daughter was tailgated so bad that the daughter went off the side of the road and since that time has been afraid to get back into the car," Goodwin said.
