N.J. Soldier Among Dead In Afghanistan
TOMS RIVER, N.J. (CBS 2) -- A New Jersey serviceman has been identified as one of nine soldiers killed in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan.
Toms River native Denis Miranda was one of four navy seals on board the chopper when it went down on Wednesday.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Miranda was at least the 25th service member with ties to New Jersey to die in Afghanistan since the war began in 2001.
