N.J. Man Indicted In Connection With Alleged DWI Crash That Killed Woman
HACKENSACK, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A man accused of drunken driving and fatally striking a pedestrian standing on a New Jersey sidewalk last year has been indicted on aggravated manslaughter charges.
Rutherford, N.J. resident Victor Kwak also faces vehicular homicide and death by auto charges in the indictment handed up this week by a county grand jury, Bergen County prosecutors said.
According to authorities, the 23-year-old lost control of his car while driving in East Rutherford and struck a curb, then swerved onto a sidewalk and hit 28-year-old Sandra Munoz-Molina of Carlstadt, the mother of four young sons.
Munoz-Molina died two days later.
Kwak remains free on $75,000 cash bail. He could face up to life in prison if convicted on all counts.
