Murder Suspect Wounded During Shootout With Cops At Bohemia Hotel
NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- Suffolk County police caught a murder suspect on Saturday morning following a gun fight and chase.
A woman called police from the MacArthur Red Carpet Inn in Bohemia and said that somebody had been shot. Police were greeted with gunfire when they arrived on the scene and knocked on the door.
Following an exchange of bullets the suspect took off into the woods where he was eventually tracked down. The suspect Stoker Olukotun Williams, 24, of Bay Shore suffered a gunshot wound to the arm during the battle.
By the time authorities made it into the room the woman, Shalece Cunningham, 24, had died of an apparent gunshot wound to the head, 1010 WINS reported.
Two of the victim's friends were in the room at the time.
Williams was arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder and Attempted First Degree Murder. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Sunday.
Police were questioning the woman's friends as the investigation continued.
