3 Men Killed In Head-On Crash In East Orange, N.J.

EAST ORANGE, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Three men were killed and several more were injured in a head-on crash in East Orange, New Jersey Wednesday evening.
The head-on crash happened at Central Avenue and South Grove Street in East Orange around 8:50 p.m. Wednesday, according to East Orange police and the Essex County Prosecutor's office.
A Toyota 4-Runner was headed south on Grove Street when it crashed into a northbound Nissan Maxima, prosecutors said. The three men inside the Maxima were all killed in the crash, police said.
They two women in the Toyota were taken to University Hospital in Newark with non-life-threatening injuries, prosecutors said.
The crash happened near an NJ TRANSIT bus, police said. The bus was not involved in the crash, but several passengers were treated for minor injuries they suffered when the bus stopped, police said.
The cause of the crash was under investigation Wednesday night by the Vehicular Homicide Unit of the Essex County Prosecutor's Office.
The identities of those killed in the crash were being withheld pending family notification late Wednesday.
The investigation continued late Wednesday and no charges had been filed, prosecutors said.
