Multi-Vehicle Crash Snags Southbound Bronx River Parkway
YONKERS, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A crash caused major delays Tuesday afternoon on the southbound Bronx River Parkway in Westchester County.
As CBS 2's Joe Biermann reported from Chopper 2 HD, the crash happened in the southbound lanes near East 233rd Street, just outside the New York City border in Yonkers. Both Yonkers and New York City emergency services responded.
At least six cars were involved in the crash around 4:20 p.m., and major injuries were reported, according to Biermann. Details were not immediately available.
Drivers headed south from Westchester County were warned to expect a long rush hour commute, Biermann reported.
