Motorcyclists On The Defensive After High-Profile Incidents
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Motorcyclists have been venting all over the Web about high-profile cases they said are giving them a bad name.
As 1010 WINS' Mona Rivera reported, motorcycle instructor Ralph Angelo Jr. posted on his Facebook page, "Do not pigeonhole us all together."
"We're not these, we call, squids that race in and out of cars and basically make a nuisance of themselves, and basically give the rest of us a bad name," he said. "You have the group in Manhattan two weeks ago, and another example yesterday on the Long Island Expressway."

The incident took place around noon in the eastbound lane of the LIE near exit 63 in Medford. Suffolk County police told CBS 2's Carolyn Gusoff the bikers were seen for miles driving recklessly, which frightened motorists.
The incident comes just weeks after after sport-utility driver Alexian Lien was beaten in Manhattan after an altercation with bikers on the West Side Highway.
Angelo said he wants the public to know that many motorcyclists are safety conscious and are not breaking laws.
