Thousands In The Hudson Valley Still Without Power
POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (CBSNewYork) -- More than 100,000 customers are still without power in parts of the Hudson Valley following Saturday's snow storm. That number is down from about 170,000 earlier in the day.
As of 10 p.m. Orange & Rockland Utilities was reporting more than 40,000 customers in the dark, with the largest outages in Rockland and Bergen counties. They're expected to have power restored by Saturday.

Central Hudson Electric and Gas has about 21,000 customers without electricity as of Tuesday night. NYSEG was also reporting about 28,000 customers without power as of 10 p.m.
Con Edison had just under 20,000 outages in Westchester Tuesday night and said power should be restored there no later than Wednesday afternoon.
One neighborhood in Yonkers has been without power since Saturday. Evelyn Laboy and her family are toughing it out in their cold, dark home.
Instead of electric light and heat, they're getting by with battery-powered lamps and blankets.
"At night, we just put all kind of quilts and everything and put on some type of jacket," said Laboy. "The temperature this morning was 40 degrees."
Some utility officials say customers further upstate may not get their electricity back on until the weekend.
