Monica Shay, Pratt Institute Professor, Third Victim To Die From Pa. Farmhouse Shooting
NEW YORK (CBS 2) -- A college instructor from Manhattan is the third person to die from last weekend's rampage at a Pennsylvania farm.
Pratt Institute professor Monica Shay, 58, passed away Thursday. She, her husband Paul and three others were shot at the Shays' country house on Saturday.
Police say the gunman, Mark Geisenheyner may have targeted 64-year-old Paul Shay as revenge for an insurance scam.
Police said the insurance scam resulted in Geisenheyner, but not Paul Shay, going to prison in 2006.
Also killed were 43-year-old Joseph Shay and 2-year-old Gregory Erdmann. Paul Shay and 37-year-old Kathryn Erdmann are in the hospital in critical condition.
Geisenheyner was later shot dead by police.
