AMBER Alert Canceled After Missing 4-Year-Old Virginia Girl Found In New Jersey
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- An AMBER Alert has been canceled after a missing 4-year-old Virginia girl was found safe in New Jersey.
Police say Annabelle Doretha Hope Richardson appeared in good health after her father, Dylan James Richardson, brought her to the Monroe Township police station just after 5 a.m. Tuesday and turned himself in.
Authorities in Virginia issued the AMBER Alert for Annabelle last Wednesday. They also issued arrest warrants for her father and her grandmother, Jacqueline McKenna.
The grandmother was apprehended in Glassboro and the girl was placed with family members.
Dylan Richardson and McKenna are charged as fugitives from justice. It's not known if they have lawyers and are awaiting extradition.
