Authorities: Man Being Taken Into Custody On Probation Violation Escapes Custody In Midtown
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Officials are searching for an escapee in Midtown.
According to the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, 30-year-old Travis Simon fled while reporting to the State Department of Corrections building on West 40th Street shortly before 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Officials say Simon was being taken into custody on a probation violation.
Simon is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds.
