Midtown East Apartment Fire Leaves 5 Injured
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Five people were injured Wednesday when a fire broke out in Midtown East.
The fire broke out around 3:30 p.m. in a second-floor apartment in the high-rise building at 360 E. 57th St., near First Avenue, the FDNY told CBS 2.
The fire started in an apartment filled with clutter, hampering firefighting efforts, offiicals said.
A total of five people were injured in the fire. Two of the victims suffered serious injuries, while the other victims' injuries were minor.
