Check Your Tickets: $437M Winning Mega Millions Ticket Sold On Long Island
OLD BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- What a way to start the new year.
One lucky person won Tuesday night's Mega Millions jackpot worth $437 million, and the winning ticket was sold on Long Island.
The winning numbers are: 34, 44, 57, 62, 70 and Mega Ball 14.
The lucky ticket was sold at Brookville Auto Service Shop in Glen Head. Owner Jay Huang will receive $10,000 for selling the winning ticket.
"I feel very, very excited and very happy for the people," Huang told DeAngelis, adding it's his first big winner in about 18 years. "They lucky. I'm lucky, too."
If the winner decides to take the cash option, that's still $261.8 million.
"Some people that buy the tickets say if they win anything, they gonna give something, so I'm waiting," shop employee Niz Aydogan.

It's the eighth largest jackpot in the history of the game and only the second time someone won a mega-prize on New Year's Day. The previous was in 2008.
The jackpot has been rolling since October, when a $1.5 billion prize was drawn in South Carolina. That winner still hasn't come forward.
Customers who frequent Brookville Auto Service Shop lamented not winning, but were excited for the one lucky soul who did.
"I was just in amazement that it was (sold) here," said Evelyn Molloy of Bayville. "I always pump gas here and come in for my Lotto ticket, so maybe someday."
"My wife is really mad that I didn't buy the ticket here," Brendan Donohue of St. James said, adding when asked what he would do with the money if he ever wins, "I'd give a lot away. We already have a game plan for when we win."
Three second-prize tickets were also sold in New York, at locations in Pleasantville, Canton and Little Neck.
