Meadowlands To Go Under Weeklong Lockdown For Super Bowl
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Tailgating is doubtful when New Jersey's Meadowlands sports complex goes under a weeklong lockdown for the Super Bowl.
The New Jersey Sports and Exhibition Authority said the entire complex will be sealed off beginning Jan. 27. Only those with credentials will be allowed to enter. Signs will warn commuters they won't be permitted to take shortcuts through the complex.

Some drivers are bracing for the worst.
"Route 3 will be jammed, everything here will be chaos," one man told WCBS 880's Jim Smith.

"It's gonna be crazy over here," another man said.
Others say they're ready for it.
"We live in this area, Route 4 is always traffic so, Super Bowl or not we'll be okay," another said. "After 9/11, after terrorist attacks all over, you have to, it's better to be safe than sorry."
"You have to be secure especially in today's times," another man said.
The Record newspaper reports even game-day parking permits will be hard to come by.
Sports authority vice president Jim Minish said the number of available spaces will be reduced by about 60 percent from a typical Sunday football game because of security and the need to create space for TV station trucks.
Officials are talking about banning tailgating because parking is at a premium. Details are still being discussed.
