Mayoral Recall Effort Fails On The Jersey Shore
POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ (AP) - Efforts to recall a Jersey shore mayor fell short.
Point Pleasant Beach Mayor Vincent Barrella will remain in office after voters on Tuesday rejected a recall question by a 919 to 735 vote margin.
The Asbury Park Press reported the 58-year-old drew the ire of local business owners when he proposed municipal sales taxes on alcohol, beach badges and private parking lot in town.
